next Monday British Columbia will celebrate her own day, and we will not work that day. so, Goran, our mt. guru is suggesting that we could hike to Sun God Mountain. today I’ve been reading about this mountain, and now I am asking myself if it’s necessary to know mantra in case we want to summit ’cause several are saying yes. this is their mantra: ‘praise the all mighty and glorious Sun God’. our can be: ‘Precious Gaia, wake him up before you go go.’ I can’t wait for the weekend to begin.

Be Fresh
Be Funny
Be Surprising
Be Balanced

this is a perfect mix you need to write great travel story. goran is still writing on his denali - report, and I just finished mine about mt. baker. too bad that both of us are writing in other languages than english. mine is in norwegian while gorans will be in bosnian.

ps: more helpful hints about how to write perfect travel stories:

1) Clear writing style, without affectation, used by a writer who knows the point of the story, gets to it quickly and gets it across to the reader strongly and with brevity and clarity.
2) Strong sense of the writer’s personality, ideally demonstrating intelligence, wit and style.
3) Use of the writer’s personal experiences, other anecdotes and quotations to add life to the piece.
4) Vivid reporting - the ability of the writer to convey to readers, using as many of the senses as possible, the travel experience through the use of words alone.
5) High literary quality and the accurate use of grammar and syntax.
6) Meaty, practical and accurate information that is useful to the reader.

“The soft summer wind stirs the redwoods, and Wild-Water ripples sweet cadences over its mossy stones. There are butterflies in the sunshine, and from everywhere arises the drowsy hum of bees. It is so quiet and peaceful, and I sit here, and ponder, and am restless. It is the quiet that makes me restless. It seems unreal.” - Jack London

… today I am at work again, and I am thinking about the ridge I saw yesterday in Downton Creek - area. I am still waiting for G. to post photos from yesterday. they will not have that same color as photos that I have detached to my right retina. my left eye was closed all the time ’cause it was too much beauty for my mind. while I am waiting for photos, here is the video from Semaphore Lakes.

Magnum refused to go home. So did I.
